Analyzing cognitive bias with eye tracking? Yes, of course! In our presentation we will present a method for analyzing cognitive bias using eye tracking with three steps: 1) annotating graphical elements or regions in a visualization with semantic information; 2) defining an idealized scan path for a given visual task; 3) analyzing eye movement patterns and comparing scan paths from a user experiment with idealized scan path for identifying areas on the stimulus which lead to a cognitive bias.
